3rd Annual Weldon Literary Moot fundraiser for Halifax Humanities 101

March 7, 2013

The 3rd Annual Weldon Literary Moot fundraiser for Halifax Humanities 101 will take place on Thursday, 7 March 2013. 7.00 PM in Alumni Hall.

In honour of the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, the Weldon Literary Moot will present a moot court case in which Mr. Darcy will sue Mr. Wickham for defamation of character. With participants like Bill Wood of the comic troupe Picnicface, this promises to be a hilarious evening.

Ticket are $12 adults: $8 students.

There will be a raffle and reception.

You can vote by going to CanadaHelps.org and specifying the plaintiff or defense fund. All proceeds go to support Halifax Humanities 101, which provides "great books" education to adults living on low incomes.
