The University of King's College Chapel welcomes King's alumnus and friend of the College, Father Christopher Snook, as guest preacher for tonight's Choral Holy Communion Service.

Father Christopher is a native of Halifax where he attended the University of King's College. He went on to complete a Masters in English Literature at McMaster University in Hamilton with a specialization in nineteenth-century Anglican homiletics and a second Master of Arts in Theology at Concordia University in Montreal with a thesis on the life, letters, and sayings of St. Antony the Great. He is adjunct faculty at the College of Emmanuel & Saint Chad, where he recently taught an intensive summer course on the life of Saint Antony by Saint Athanasius.

Father Christopher was ordained deacon in the Anglican Church of Canada in 2005 and priested in 2006. He began his ministry in the Diocese of Saskatchewan and currently serves in the Diocese of Ohio. He is married to Barbara Swanson, a music historian who he met while they were both students at King's.

This service will be lead by the King's Chapel Choir under the direction of Paul Halley and begins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday March 4 2010. The music will be by George Oldroyd, Anton Bruckner and J. S. Bach.
