Welcome Day is an exciting day on campus!
Every year we look forward to welcoming our new and returning students to embark on another year of learning and growth!
Welcome Day Schedule & Where is it Guide

8:30 a.m.–11 a.m. | Residence Move-In
- All Residents will receive a move-in time slot via email in early August.
- Check your dal.ca email (non-King’s residents, check the email account for your school) for your move in time slot. Plan to arrive within that window of time.
- Ensure you have completed the Move-in Checklist prior to your arrival:
- Upload a profile photo to your eRezLife Account
- Sign off on the Residence Agreement
- Sign off on the Residence Guidelines
- Select your meal plan via eRezLife
Complete the above checklist before you arrive to speed up your check-in experience!
Residents who have not completed this checklist by the time they arrive to check in will need to stop at an additional station before they receive their key package.
- When you arrive at campus, head to Prince Hall to visit our residence check-in stations where students will be able to pick up their residence key packages!
- Due to space limitations, most people moving in will not be able to park in the Quad parking lot. Residents and/or their Parents/Supporters can park their vehicles in the designated parking areas located just outside of King’s campus. Security staff will be onsite to guide folks to the designated parking areas.
Our Residence Dons will be around to welcome you to their communities!
There will also be a “Help Desk” where staff will be available to answer any questions you have. This station will be in front of Cochran Bay and the campus Chapel.
Residence Check-In will close from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. so any remaining keys can be relocated to the Alex Hall Front Desk.
If you are planning to move in after 11 a.m., you will be able to pick up your key packages from the Alex Hall Front Desk starting at 11:30 a.m. There is a buzzer button at the front door that will connect to the Front Desk staff. Inform them you are here to check in and they will unlock the main door for you.
The Student Accounts Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Hop up to their office, 2nd floor of the Arts & Administration Building (A&A), to say hi to Sharlene and learn more about your student account and payment options!
The KSU O-Week Team and Executive Team will be around to help folks move in, set students up with their O-Week packages and more!
