Introducing the University of King's College Chapel

Weekly chapel services

The King’s College Chapel is the Anglican university chapel for both King’s and Dalhousie students and it is also open to the wider community. Each week during term time, a number of daily said and sung services take place, which are all student-led, except for Holy Communion, which is celebrated by the chaplain, Father Dr Gary Thorne. The Reverend Dr Tom Curran leads in the 11.00 AM Sunday morning eucharist. Sung eucharist and choral evensong services feature either the King’s College Chapel Choir, under the direction of Paul Halley, or the Capella Regalis Men and Boys Choir, led by Nick Halley.

In addition to its regular weekly schedule of services, the chapel is home to a vibrant and multi-faith community of students, staff, faculty, and members of the local community. The chapel hosts lectures and discussions, organises retreats and day trips, holds special suppers and potlucks, and gets involved in a range of outreach activities.
