Admissions Requirements for Quebec Students

King's and CEGEP: A perfect fit

CEGEP study provides you with the opportunity to specialize in a particular area for either one or two years.  This allows you to discover what you're truly interested in and will help you make a more informed decision when it comes to choosing a university.

If you have completed one year at CEGEP, you are eligible to enter King's as a first-year student in the Foundation Year Programme. If you have completed two years (D.E.C.) at CEGEP, you may be eligible for a full-year of transfer credits at King's. This means you could move into one of our upper-year interdisciplinary programmes (Contemporary Studies, Early Modern Studies or History of Science and Technology) or anything in the Arts and Social Sciences and Sciences at Dalhousie University.

Admission Average

Our admission averages vary from year to year, depending on the applicant pool. The admission average also changes throughout the admissions cycle as positions in our limited enrolment programmes become available.

In recent years, our required early fall admission average for arts and science programmes, including FYP, has been set at 85%, with our required regular early admission average being set at 82%. Typically we are able to eventually extend offers to those applicants with an admission average of 75% or higher.
