The King's Annual Alumni Association Golf Tournament

Enjoy a day of golf with friends old and new, a post-game dinner, and some great prizes. The Alumni Association 19th annual golf tournament will take place on Thursday, August 16, at the Sherwood Golf & Country Club in Chester. The money raised goes to support students in financial need at King’s. Come on your own or put together a team of friends and colleagues.

This is a fun, best ball golfing tournament for golfers of all abilities. Thanks to the money raised at last year’s event, the University of King’s College Alumni Association was able to present 12 students with awards of $1,000 each to help them pay for their education. The generosity of our golfers and sponsors helps students who might not otherwise be able to attend King’s. Come join us this year!

How to register

If you would like to participate as a golfer, the entry fee is $600.00 for a team of four, or $150.00 for an individual. The fee includes a round of golf with a cart at the Sherwood Golf and Country Club and a post-game barbecue dinner. There is also the opportunity to win fabulous prizes, ranging from accommodation and golfing at some of the Maritimes’ loveliest resorts and gift certificates to restaurants, to sportswear, golfing accessories, and a pair of diamond stud earrings.

Past golf tournaments

The King's annual Alumni Association golf tournament, which brings nearly 100 golfers to the green, is a fundraising event that annually contributes to student support. Held at the Sherwood Golf & Country Club in Chester, NS, in recent years, the tournament is packed with a round of golf, a much-needed BBQ dinner after a day on the course, and a healthy dose of camaraderie and friendly competition.
