School of Journalism Haiti Fundraiser Update
February 15, 2010On Thursday, February 11th, CBC reporter Stephen Puddicombe came to the University of King's College to share an illustrated presentation on his recent experiences reporting from Haiti post-earthquake. About 100 people were in attendance and the presentation was live-streamed on the web. It was watched by people in Halifax, Newfoundland, Toronto and Haiti.
Overall the event raised $500 for Hands Across the Sea, a Yarmouth non-profit organization that works with children and their families in Haiti. We offer our kudos to the organizers and participants.
