Residents at King's are supported by residence staff, comprised of Patrol, dons, and the dean of residence.

Each residence Bay and Floor has a live-in don who is responsible for the oversight and leadership of approximately 25 to 30 students. The dons, who are generally graduate students, working professionals, junior members of faculty and often former King's students, organize residence events, and provide student support and mentorship. They are available to all students—not just those living in their specific residences—at any time, to help with any issue.

King's also employs a group of upper-year students, known as Patrol, who conduct rounds of the campus after-hours. They encourage their peers to uphold community standards, and promote a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

The dean of residence acts as a supervisor and mentor to students and residence staff. The dean is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. His office is located off the main lobby in Alexandra Hall. To make an appointment with the dean, please stop by the front desk of Alexandra Hall or contact the administrative secretary.
